This unforgettable night on the town takes place in the historic setting of the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site, a reconstructed 18th century French fortress town. You’ll be transported back in time, visiting the different houses as the village comes alive with songs, stories, tunes, dancing, good food and good times. Picture tables, large and small, set with candles and pewter dishes. Enjoy a delicious period meal with wine then hit the cobblestone streets by lantern light, moving from one stone building to the next as music spills out from the engineer’s drawing room and stories of rum running are told amid huge barrels of rum in a quaint cottage. There’s toe tapping fiddle music on the next corner, and a square dance in the village hall, before wrapping up the evening at an 18th century pub. Restricted to 19 & Over. Photo ID required.
A note about this performance: Please expect 18th century conditions. This authentic experience will include walking the streets of the Fortress at night under the open sky with the possibility of inclement weather. People with mobility issues may have difficulty with the terrain and/or distance. Wear comfortable footwear and bring along warm clothing. Let the starry sky light the venue and music warm the soul during this unforgettable experience!
