Mark MacIntyre and Jason Kempt

For the past 17 years, these guys have been sharing a stage in various musical capacities all over Atlantic Canada. Both Mark and Jason have diverse musical backgrounds and influences which allows them to cover a tremendous number of styles and genres of music. Both veterans of the Cape Breton group “Kintyre”, this duo has begun branching into new musical endeavors: they are co-founders of the successful music and comedy show “Getting Dark Again” which ran for two seasons here at the Playhouse, and last year they wrote, produced and performed in “A Cape Vegas Christmas” that played to sold-out crowds at Casino Nova Scotia. When performing as a duo, they have a very easy rapport with each other as well as with their audience, and audience members have commented: “I don’t know if it’s a music show with comedy thrown in, or a comedy show with music thrown in, but I love it!”. We’re happy to have Mark and Jason back with us for two dates this season.
